Established under Republic Act No. 9581 (An Act Establishing a National High School in Barangay Recodo, City of Zamboanga to Be Known as the Recodo National High School and Appropriating Funds Therefor) which was approved on April 30, 2009 by Her Excellency President Glori Macapagal - Arroyo.
